Nightingale House Hospice invites composers to write a short song which we would like to hear performed during our 25th Anniversary year in 2020.

Nightingale House is an independent adult hospice based in Wrexham. We provide palliative care and well-being services for the people of North East Wales, Corwen, Bala and as far west as Barmouth.

The Show-Me Pride Ensembles d/b/a Mid America Freedom Band is accepting proposals for a new work for its jazz band, the Mighty Mo Combo, from composers regardless of age, nationality, or style. The proposed 3–5 minute long original piece will be performed by the Mighty Mo Combo during the ensemble’s 2020–21 season.

Composers, students, and community members are encouraged to submit original compositions written for a full symphonic pops orchestra. The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2020.

Applicants are encouraged to consider one or more of the following themes in their submission:

• Reno Pops “On Pointe (dance themes in all genres)
• Fine Arts & Architecture

The Diversity Initiative's Call for Scores is focused on promoting underrepresented composers in the genre of brass chamber music.

Eligibility and Submission Materials
In line with our goals to promote diversity, the call for scores is exclusively for composers who represent an underrepresented communities and ethnicities. There is no age limitation or educational preference, we want to hear all that we can!

It's back!!!

Each day throughout the month of May 2020 Emily Mehigh (www.emilymehigh.com) will play a short piece for solo clarinet. This means that 31 submissions of miniatures for clarinet will be performed for this call. Each day Emily will prepare a work and perform it in the same day.

Composers whose works are selected will receive an audio recording of their miniature as well as the performance videos posted online. Selected composers are also welcome to contact Emily to discuss their works before they are performed (Ideally sometime in late April).
