Juventas New Music Ensemble seeks chamber music and art songs responding to current affairs. The selected works will be performed by Juventas New Music Ensemble at our concert The Freedom of Speech, February 9, 2019 at First Church Boston. The concert will celebrate the First Amendment with music that engages with freedom of speech, current affairs, political discourse and/or activism.
Eligibility:
Any composer who identifies as both an emerging composer at the early stages of their career
We believe that diversity of experience contributes to a broader collective perspective that will consistently lead to a more fulfilling musical and artistic experience. We are working hard to increase the diversity of our programs and encourage all races and genders to submit.
Compositions may be for any subset of the following instruments:
Soprano singer
Flute (including piccolo & alto flute)
Clarinet (including Eb, Bb, and bass clarinet)
Horn in F - especially encouraged!
