Musical Frames: An interdisciplinary graduate-student symposium

The Stanford Graduate Music Forum is seeking proposals for presentations for the 2019 Graduate Music Symposium, Musical Frames.

We welcome all formats of presentations, including papers, performances, and creative or non-traditional formats.

How can different contexts and methodologies frame the study of music? How does music frame your research? We are interested in building an interdisciplinary conversation through creative musical research.

Submission format: Description and/or demo of your proposed presentation in the form of an approximately 1-2 minute video (sent as link on vimeo or youtube),or written abstract of approximately 250-350 words. Supplemental materials (recordings, images, etc.) are welcome; manageable file size is appreciated.

Please indicate the length of your presentation (between 5-20 minutes), your departmental affiliation if applicable, and specific technical requirements.
