Divergent Composition Workshop with loadbang

The Longy School of Music's Divergent Studio offers a unique experience which enables participants to work closely with world-class faculty composers as well as collaborate with new music ensemble extraordinaire loadbang, Transient Canvas, Divergent Studio performers, and our guest instrumentalists. This 10 chamber music intensive offers opportunities to have your music performed on Divergent concerts, network with other participants, and hear daily performances by Divergent students and faculty.

Program Highlights for Composers:
- Each composer will be assigned an ensemble to write for. These ensembles include loadbang, Transient Canvas, and our other wonderful guest musicians
- Compose pieces in collaboration with other Divergent Studio participants
- Coaching with Divergent faculty
- Composition lessons/small group masterclasses with Divergent Studio composition faculty and guest composers Hannah Lash and Paula Matthusen
- Daily workshops covering both analytical and compositional topics
- Workshops and social events together with the Divergent Studio performance participants
