The Ithaca New Music Collective Call for Scores

The Ithaca New Music Collective is a group of musicians in Ithaca, NY dedicated to performing works written by composers from Ithaca College, Cornell University, and the Ithaca community. The collective strives to bring the music of Ithaca to its community and beyond.

1. Who can apply: any composer who is currently living in Ithaca and vicinity, or has lived in Ithaca in the past.

2. Duration: Submissions can be of any length, although preference will be given to works under 12 minutes for inclusion in the
March 18th concert

3. Instrumentation:
Mezzo Soprano (for more information see )
Flute/piccolo/alto flute/bass flute (1 player)
Oboe/English horn (English Horn including B flat extensions)
Percussion (vibraphone and a 4.3 octave marimba available)
Double Bass (no C extension)

a. Any subset of the ensemble can be submitted, although preference will be given to works utilizing the full ensemble
b. Additional electronics / media is accepted

4. How to submit: Send an email to including the following:

a. Subject Line: INMC March 18, 2019 Call for Scores Submission
b. Score in PDF format
d. Contact information: Name, email address, phone number
e. Statement explaining the applicant’s connection to Ithaca

5. Between six and eight compositions will be selected for inclusion in the next INMC concert at Argos Warehouse in Ithaca on
Monday, March 18, 2018. Applicants are required to attend one rehearsal either in person or via Skype.
