We invite composers and musicians in general to participate and share their experiences in this special thematic issue on “Teaching Music Composition in the 21st century”. Papers, essays or experience reports in English are accepted. Deadline for submissions: December 15, 2019. Call (PDF version):

=== About the journal ===
The Vórtex Music Journal (Revista Vórtex – ISSN 2317–9937) is an online publication by the State University of Paraná (Brazil) indexed in databases such as RILM, Web of Science, EBSCO, ProQuest, DOAJ, among others, and now also with D.O.I. attributed to each work. The Editorial Board stimulates the submission of researches that present great value to our society, both in the artistic and scientific domains. As an educational strategy, we believe in returning to society what has been invested in research by providing 100% free online access. Vortex Music Journal does not charge Article Processing fees (APC) nor Submission fees. The journal has Open Access, i.e. all content is available for reading without any costs. The list below is merely a suggestion. Please, feel free to submit your own approach, as long as it discusses the issue of “Teaching Music Composition in the 21st century”. We are looking for innovative approaches on the subject.
