Composer-In-Residency at MPB (Brooklyn, NY) *No application fee & no participation fee

PROJECT CAGE—The Last Artist-In-Residency at MPB

MISE-EN_PLACE Bushwick is closing by 2/29/2020. As you may know, we have built a residency space to host composers, musicians and artists, but sadly we need to leave our current home soon. We plan move to Greenpoint to continue our journey. We would like to share our space with you last time. Hope you would join us.

This call is only open to composers/musicians/artists who submitted an application to us for either MISE-EN MUSIC FESTIVAL (2014-2020), Bushwick Open Studios (2017-19) and RES programs (2018-2019). This is our small action to show our appreciation for those of you who joined us on this adventure--whether you made music with us or showed interest in working with us. That means a lot.

There is no application fee or residency fee for this program. Note, artists will be responsible for travel, supplies outside of mise-en equipment, and personal expenses. You may tell us which year and program you applied for, so we know how you know us.

The selection will be decided randomly, and you do not need to send any of your work or portfolio although we would like to know what you would like to do here.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Many thanks.

About MISE-EN_PLACE Bushwick
: The residency at MISE-EN_PLACE Bushwick invites artists to live, work, and create in a focused and supportive environment. This residency is designed to support artists interested in exploring the boundaries of the space through music/sound art, performance, video, and audio/visual installations. Private studios and rehearsal spaces are provided for developing works-in-progress, and artists will have the opportunity to connect with the community through presenting lectures, workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions, concerts, or live performances. Projects may also be documented with provided audio and video recording equipment. This residency hopes to not only support the development of artists' current works but also inspire future projects and possibilities for exchange with ensemble mise-en.
