The Walden School Creative Musicians Retreat

The Walden School Creative Musicians Retreat is a 9-day festival in New Hampshire for composers, improvisers, performers, electronic musicians, choral musicians, and music teachers.
All participants at the Creative Musicians Retreat take lessons, classes, sing in chorus, attend improvisation workshops, hear concerts, and participate in Composers Forums. Courses include the Walden School Musicianship Course, seminars on Contemporary Topics, and courses in electronic music (taught by Sam Pluta, Alex Christie, and Ted Moore). Composers on the faculty include Caroline Mallonee, Renée Favand-See, Loretta Notareschi, and Osnat Netzer.
Lisa Bielawa, our 2020 Composer-In-Residence will be on campus all week, moderating three Composers Forums, conducting master classes, and giving private composition lessons. In 2020, our artists-in-residence will be Mivos Quartet, percussionist Matthew Gold, pianist David Friend, and conductor Thomas Colohan.
