Young Women Composers Workshop Series

Young Women Composers (YWC) is proud to announce the curation of a dual-streamed, 100% free workshop series that will feature some of the most prominent and exciting voices in new music today. The series will run from June 29 – July 30 on Mondays and Thursdays from 5–6:15pm EDT. Topics range from cultivating inclusivity in your personal and professional life, exploring sampling with Ableton Live, the process of commissioning and collaboration, and more!

Our series is divided into two streams:

1. The Process: presentations by female-identifying or non-binary composers about their compositional process, from sketches to final product

2. Artistry in 2020: presentations by female-identifying or non-binary artists, entrepreneurs, and change-makers in the new music scene

- Eve O’Donnell (Artistic Producer to the Artistic Director, National Sawdust)
- Sarah Williams (New Works Director, Opera Philadelphia)
