The MSO's Call for Scores

The Megalopolis Saxophone Orchestra (MSO) is pleased to announce its third Call for Scores:

Composers are invited to submit saxophone quartets to be performed by the MANA Quartet during the 2020-21 season. Four winners will be selected to have their works performed, and all concerts will be recorded.

Of these four winners, one will be awarded the title of Composer-in-Residence for the season; a position that includes a $500 commissioning fee towards the composition of a new work for saxophone orchestra. Additionally, the Composer-in-Residence will lead a pre-concert lecture on their works, receive a live recording of their saxophone quartet, and collaborate closely with Megalopolis while composing a new work for the ensemble.
