Call for Scores - Flute

Guidelines for scores:

-Pieces to be no longer than 6 minutes in duration
-Instrumentation: Piccolo, C Flute, Alto Flute, or Bass Flute solo or with electronics (one performer only; may switch between flutes)
-Extended techniques are welcome and encouraged.
-Special consideration to works:
--inspired by Middle Eastern musical traditions and/or
--inspired by U.S. and Middle Eastern countries' sociopolitical relations and/or
--by composers of Middle Eastern descent
-Works chosen are to be professionally recorded, and therefore shouldn't already appear on a commercially available recording. New works that have not been premiered are highly encouraged.

General Info:

-Number of winners undetermined
-I reserve the right to reject any and all scores from this call for scores
-Accepting applications now through September 11, 2020
-Notification of selection by October 1, 2020
-Selected compositions will be performed by me at a later date and venue and professionally recorded. Time-frame is within a year of notification of selection.
-No monetary award if piece is selected

To enter your score:

Email with a digital copy of your score (link to dropbox is okay) with the subject line "Call for Scores." Composer's name should be on the score. Please also include in your message whether the work has been premiered yet. Attaching a MIDI recording of the work is highly encouraged, but not required.
