University of Tennessee Electroacoustic Ensemble call for improvised works

The University of Tennessee Electroacoustic Ensemble is looking for improvised scores for its exciting Spring 17 season.

Scores of any kind, written guidelines, videos, ideas for improvisation and works in progress are welcome. We do have acoustic instruments; notated parts are also a possibility. Improvisation is the key element.

The selected works will be included in one or more performances this year and possibly in the ensemble’s first album release Vantablack to come out in the Spring 2017.

The newly formed UTEE provides a platform for students to develop and design instruments while using them in a multidisciplinary performance setting. The group combines visuals with electronic and acoustic instruments, searching for a path among the aesthetics of Evan Parker, FURT and Anthony Braxton.
